Digital photos; who is looking at them?

How many others than I take photos with their mobile and/or digital camera and have the pictures saved in different places (hard drives, USB drives, CD's, in the cloud) and how often do you look at them? Some of you do post them on social media such as Instagram but do you ever go back and look at them?

I have taken photos since I was in my twenties and they are on paper, slides and digital form. When I collected my digital photos on an external hard drive the other day, there were 11600 files/images or 30GB memory and many of them I’ve seen only through the viewfinder or on the screen of the cell phone when I took them and never again after that.

To me, a personal blog needs photos to ease the text and to give the reader something to look at, preferably in relation to the text but not necessarily. I therefore decided to give my photos space here and intend to use as many of them as possible. You readers; please give me some comment on the pictures, then at least I’ll know someone else have seen them!

Since we are having some of the harshest Winter days at present I thought one with snow would be fit. This photos is taken at Käringsund, Eckero och Åland Islands, Finland, the anchor serves as a link to the for us very important shipping. More about that later.
